With the beginning of the full-scale war and aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, millions of Ukrainians lost their homes, found the challenge and horrors of occupation, a large number of Ukrainian territories were on the verge of a humanitarian disaster due to hostilities, disruption of state institutions and disruption of logistics chains. From February 24, 2022, our Public Union of the NGO “Svora” began active activities to provide humanitarian aid to the civilian population, as well as to support animals abandoned and injured as a result of military operations in the Kharkiv and Donetsk regions. for animals. We currently have about 100 species of animals, namely: 6 chinchillas, 4 rabbits, 3 guinea pigs, 10 rats, an African hedgehog, a cape crow, an agama, an iguana, 33 red-eared turtles, 3 terrapins, a coal turtle, 2 medium – Asian turtles, Egyptian turtle, 2 frogs, 2 tree frogs, Venezuelan parrot, 8 amadins, 14 aquariums (polypterus, trionyx, cichlids, astranotus, fuga fish, etc.), 7 cats, 23 dogs, a chameleon, 2 snails, a crab, shrimps. Many of the animals were evacuated from dangerous places, some of the animals were abandoned by their owners. During this time, we learned to look after and care for them. Certain conditions are needed for a full-fledged quality life of animals, if there was no threat to the preservation of the individual, as well as rehabilitation and socialization of animals. who have injuries, return to natural life in captivity.
